As we stand at the crossroads of the present and future, we must recognize the pivotal role that today's youth play in shaping a better tomorrow. Their dreams, aspirations, and innovative ideas are the foundation upon which the future will be built. In support of this transformative vision, Blue Knights® International is proud to announce the availability of five (5) academic scholarships, each worth $1,000.00 USD, to empower our young leaders.

These scholarships are more than just financial assistance; they represent a commitment to nurturing the next generation of thinkers, doers, and changemakers within our community. By investing in their education, we are fostering personal growth and encouraging the development of skills essential for effective leadership.

The Blue Knights® scholarship program aims to provide students with the resources needed to pursue their academic goals. Recipients will not only benefit from monetary support but also gain access to a network of like-minded peers and mentors who are equally passionate about making a positive impact in the world.

We believe that by supporting education and leadership development, we are directly contributing to a brighter future for everyone. If you or someone you know is a committed student eager to make a difference, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity. Together, let’s pave the way for tomorrow's leaders!

**Purpose of the Scholarship**
The Blue Knights® Scholarship stands as a crucial initiative aimed at giving back to our dedicated members while reinforcing our commitment to a family-oriented organization. We warmly invite participation from all qualified immediate family members of our membership, both within North America and our international chapters, ensuring that this wonderful opportunity transcends geographic boundaries.

**Eligibility Criteria**

This scholarship is specifically designed for the immediate family members of Blue Knights® members. Eligible applicants include:

- Sons/step-sons
- Daughters/step-daughters
- Grandchildren

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be 25 years of age or younger on May 15th of the current year. This age criterion underscores our investment in nurturing the brighter futures of our youth.

**Application Process**

To apply, interested candidates will receive blank application forms from the International office. All completed applications must be postmarked and submitted to the Scholarship Committee by the specified deadline indicated on the application form. Following the closing date, the committee chairman will convene with fellow committee members to initiate the selection process.

Each application will be screened for adherence to the scholarship criteria. Essays submitted by candidates meeting these standards will be evaluated individually by each committee member. The highest-scoring 25% of essays will then enter a lottery process to determine the five scholarship recipients. This lottery drawing will be conducted during the annual International General Membership meeting.

Once selected, recipients will be notified via mail and will be instructed to connect with the International Treasurer to provide any necessary information. The Treasurer will subsequently issue a scholarship check (in U.S. funds) directly to the educational institution on behalf of the recipient.

**Submission Evaluation**

To guarantee a fair and transparent selection process, all submissions will undergo a rigorous evaluation by the committee. We are devoted to recognizing and nurturing the talents of our future leaders through this scholarship initiative.

In conclusion, the Blue Knights® Scholarship not only embodies our dedication to fostering leadership and education among the youth but also celebrates our core value of community. We eagerly anticipate celebrating the achievements of our applicants and actively supporting their journeys toward becoming impactful leaders in their communities. Together, we can build a brighter future for the generations to come.
